Show SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS Community WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 7, 2001 Obituaries Ronnie Winton Nola Rowley Reed, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, and sister, age 75, peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father on February 2, 2001, after a long illness. She passed away at the Kane County Skilled Nursing Facility where she resided for 20 months. Nola was born on July 27, 1925, in Provo, Utah, the first child of William Parley Rowley, Jr. and LaRue Edwards. When she was a young girl, she lived in Vale, Oregon, where she worked on the family farm. Her favorite pastime was riding her horse in the hills. She met her future husband while working in a grocery store and married John (Jack) Arthur Reed in Winnemucca, Nevada on July 20,1947. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Tern pie, and their eight children were sealed to them on September 26, 1967. She was a loving wife for more than 53 years and together they raised their children, one daughter and seven sons: Karon (Steve) Jacobsen of Kanab; Gary (Louise) Reed, Turlock, California; Jon (Chaleh) Reed, Saudi Arabia; Mike (Lori Ann) Reed, Kanab; Mark ( Kathy) Reed, Henderson, Nevada; Guy (Lori) Reed, Bums, Wyoming Saudi Arabia; Robert (Mary) Reed, Turlock, California; and Randy (Jennifer) Reed, Layton. Nola and Jack, along with three of their sons, Guy, Robert cBlnSmten il Pharmacy Ronnie Swapp Winton passed away in Reno, Nevada on January 28, 2001, after a lingering illness. He was born September 19, 1942 in Phoenix, Arizona to Ralph Phillip and Delna Swapp Winton. Survivors include his wife, Dani, and a son, Willis James of Reno; two daughters; Tammy Trunski and Trisha Winton; a grandson, Justin Trunski; a brother, Pat Winton; and his mother, Delna Winton all of Phoenix. One Saturday while in the temple, she received a hug from President Gordon B. Hinckley. Survivors include her husband, children, 32 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren, sisters Grace Cox and Lena Johnston, and a brother, Doyle (Bonnie) Haws. She was preceded in death by her father when she was only five years old; her mother; stepfather Erastus Snow Haws; two brothers Guy Haws and William Parley Rowley, III; and a MaKayla Reed-Fregreat-granddaught- e.
