Show News SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 20, 2000 Special Fredonia Town Council meeting Council members present at the November 28, 2000 meeting at the Fredonia Firehouse included Mayor Steven Winward, Greg Honey, Lillian Lukus and Brent Mackelprang. Guests present were Tom Corrigan, Lisa Allred, Minister Boyles, Tom Degraw and Dr. Bamson. At 6:30 p.m. Mayor Winward called the meeting to order. An invocation was given by Minister Boyles. The Pledge of Alle- giance was led by Mayor Winward. On a motion by Lillian Lukus, seconded by Brent Mackelprang, Council voted unanimously to approve the agenda as written. Minutes from November 14, 2000 were read. On a motion by Greg Honey, seconded by Lillian Lukus, Council voted unanimously to approve the minutes of as written. Demands w ere given to Council for their review and signa11-14-- 00 ture. Public Comment Tom Corrigan thanked the Beautification Committee for the great job they did on the Town OfFice Christmas decorations. It looks wonderful. He also thanked Stampin Up and their employees w ho painted the Tow n Library. They did a great job. Minister Boyles asked ifthe town was going to build a place for the kids to go where there was something for them to do. Corrigan said that Officer Macias was working on the funds for this and the town is planning to build a multi-us- e facility. Item l:The Fredonia Health Center is now open. On a motion by Lillian Lukus, seconded by Brent Mackelprang, Council voted unanimously to accept the name change from Lake Powell Medical Center to Canyonlands Community Health Care on the contract for the Health Center Item 2: Council directed the Town Manager to have Sunrise Engineering negotiate to have someone drill the test hole on the school property.
