Thomas would like to express our appreciation and thank those who have shown their love and concern for her. We express our gratitude to Dr. Holley, Dr. Vermeesch and the nurses and technicians at Kane County Hospital and the Kane County Skilled Nursing personnel. Also the cooks. Thanks to those who held church services and the volunteers who entertained them with music and bingo. She enjoyed these things. Thanks to those who visited her, and those who participated in the funeral program and all who have been so kind to her. We cant begin to name them all. A special thanks to Jeff & Dennis Mosdell for their compassion and help, and the use of their beautiful building to hold services in. The nieces and nephews of Sarah F. Thomas An open letter to the Kane County Commissioners Commissioners, you need to examine your hearts and honestly determine whether your personal agendas preclude you from being effective representatives of the wishes of the majority of the people whom you have sworn to represent. Surely you must have noticed by now that the vast majority ofKane County citizens are begging you on their knees not to deal with the BLM. And that includes the County Attorney continuing to work with them. Just because the federal appointee, sent here by Bruce Babbitt to implement his plan by any means necessary, patronizes local businesses to ingratiate herself with the locals does not automatically mean she has our best interests at heart. You would think that men of your respected experiences would know by now that you do not work with the federal government, you simply do as they tell you. He seems to feel that we are unruly children and should be banned from his court. Commissioner Judd has compromised his integrity by accepting a position on a committee formed by the BLM and he has made it known publicly that the whole affair is too much for him and he wants to just get it over with and move on to something else more important. What has happened to help or cooperation ' from the federal government? I hope the authorities responsible for this ridiculous waste of taxpayer money against our fellow citizens stub their political toe on their Grand Staircase and fall from power. I used to be inspired and my thoughts and feelings lifted while visiting the cliffs and canyons in the Escalante area, but since the monument was created, it seems the Grand Staircase is all downhill.
