Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 6, 2000 in the Cloma Heaton w Cloma Balls Heaton, 71, died May 3, 2000 at her home in Orderville, Utah. She was born June 2, 1928, in Hyde Park, Utah to Lyman and Lula Rosetta Schenk Balls. Cloma attended public school in Dayton, Idaho where she excelled in theater, band, student government and sports, and graduated as the Valedictorian of her class. She received a de- gree in Home Economics from Utah State Agricultural College in Logan. Cloma married Alvin Lamond Heaton June 7, 1949, in the Logan LDS Temple. They moved to Orderville in 1950. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother oftwelve. She had a kind and pleasant disposition and practiced her Christian principles in her everyday life. She faithfully served in all positions to which she was called in the LDS faith including a mission to Rapid City, SD with her husband. She had a wonderful talent of making beautiful quilts and piece work. Brothers and sisters: Val Ball; Leroy Ball; Mary Lue Squires; Elda Winvard; Karen Schvaneveldt; and Mack Balls. Sisters-in-laBessie Heaton and Betty Heaton. She w: Her sisters, brother and families wish to especially thank her wonderful husband Wally, and son Miklijon (MJ) for the loving care they provided in the last few months of her life. We also want to thank her special friends who made many visits to the hospital to cheer her up. We would also like to thank those that prayed for Mickey and for us in our time of soi row. His early years were spent in southeastern Nebraska where the family moved when he was very young. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1942 and served as ships cook on the U.S.S. Hamlin in the Pacific during World War II. Later he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany, Vietnam, and stateside, retiring November 1, 1967, after 20 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans. He was a chef and the joy of his life was cooking wonderful food for family and friends. After returning from Vietnam he worked in the Junction City, Kansas hospital, then at Park Mosdell Mortuary Chapel.
