The test program, Armys School High Completion Program, begins for recruits coming into the Army on or after February 3, 2000 and runs through September 30, 2000. The GED Plus program will h school enlist up to 6,000 graduates annually who score in the top half of the country on the Armed Forces Qualification Test and who score 46 or above on the Assessment of Individual Motivation test. The Army will sponsor applicants to complete an attendance based GED program while the individual serves in the Armys Delayed Entry Program. Screening criteria for the GED Plus program disqualify applicants who are eligible to return to high school.
