Public meeting planned for roadless areas The Dixie Nat ional Forest will hold a public meeting in Cedar City on the recently announced National Roadless Initiative on Wednesday, December 15, 1999. In October, the Forest Service published a Notice of Intent to prepare an environmental impact statement for a proposed rule to protect remaining roadless areas in the National Forests. Forest Supervisor Mary Wagner says the purpose of the meeting is to explain this proposal, discuss it informally with asked incredulously after listening to the presentation. The voters said no!
