Kane County Commissioners held a special meeting on Monday September 7, 1998, to hear the concerns of a group named Businesses Promoting Kane County. With BPKC President Tony Wright as spokesman, he outlined their concerns about the direction of the Kane County Travel Council and how Travel Council money is spent. The BPKC is worried about the decline in tourism. They want to Help unite the Business People, County Commissioners, Travel Director, Clerk Auditor, and the Chamber of Commerce. Wright lamented that there are no signs anywhere about Kanab on the highways, new maps are recognizing Page and Rubys Inn, but not Kanab.
