Then the stores further my agony over not having all my gifts wrapped and under my bed with those wonderful countdown posters...you know.. .only 60 days until Christmas! Lets see, the day this paper comes out there will be 34 days until Christmas. When I calculate this into how many Saturdays are left, and how many of those Saturdays have no obligations, then factor in the number of paychecks, and then consider how to shop without my children witnessing my purchases. .And then a jovial says Are you ready passer-b- y for Christmas? Bah Hum Bug! However, I realized the other day that I can say, Yes, I AM ready to go Home for the Holidays! And that passer-b- y stops in astonishment, You are! Wow! Nowr, of course you know' that what I am really saying is that I am ready to do my Christmas shopping at the annual Christmas Festival hosted by the KMS PTSA. Did you visit the Crafters Boutique last year? Exactly my point. The variety and wonder of the homemade crafts was incredible! Well, of course, this year it is a must again! My regret last year was that I had worried about what to get for certain family members and friends. I should have just spent my holiday season worrying about how to fit the stuff crafters dont sell under the tree.. .you know, the roller coaster for the little boys and the bicycle for my daughter. Well this year, I am simply not going to worry. I am going to orchestrate my shopping at the stores and keep my list for those most in the back of my planner until the day of the Festival! And this years Tool Time at the Festival will give me a fun place to buy small tools, w'hich make great gifts or even stocking stuffers! Oh, and the countdown until Christmas? I dont worry. I just countdown the days until the Festival, which has actually been rescheduled to December 14! This year I can take care of my shopping in the crowds of stores early and come to the Festival on the 14th ready to target that Crafters Boutique, Tool Time, and Book Fair (I love to give my children, nieces, and nephews books for Christmas)! What a great way to shop amongst my friends in Kanab, live entertainment to enjoy, a place to sit down when I need a rest, food available w'ithin a few steps, activities for my children to enj oy w'hile I shop, and to top it all off, I know' that my purchases benefit the middle school! Remember to reschedule on your calendar for the Home for the Holidays festival on December 14, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Oh, and we have already confirmed with Santa Claus that hell be arriving at 10:00 a.m. And if youd like a photo with him, Canyon Photo will be there until 2:00 p.m. with those festive photos ready for you to pick up the next business day! hard-to-buy-f- or KALIJA'S "BT Thank you for making us a success!
