Show VOLUME 65 NUMBER 39 50e Traffic stop Missing Big Water boy leads to two featured on National TV arrests On November 7, Utah High- way Patrol Trooper Russ Whitaker stopped a vehicle just east of Kanab for speeding. The driver, Lisa Agnew of Page, was arrested for driving on a suspended license and a search of the vehicle allegedly turned up two small bags containingmari-juan- a, three small bags contain- ing crystal methamphetamine, one small bag of illegal mushrooms, paraphernalia, a firearm and a large amount of cash. The driver was charged with alleged possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, and the vehicle and money were seized. Bail for Agnew was set at $20,000. The investigation conducted by Trooper Whitaker and Kane County Narcotics Task Force Detective Dan Watson led them back to Page, where the Page Police Department and the Coconino County SherifFs office were notified and brought into the investigation. With the information obtained from the female arrested and evidence found in the vehicle, a search warrant was obtained for another suspects residence in Page. An ongoing investigation by Page officials had led them to believe that there was a possible lab for the production of crystal methamphetamine in the home, so for safety reasons, the Arizona DPS Tactical teams from Phoenix and Flagstaff were brought in to serve the search warrant. At 2:00 a.m. the warrant was executed. The search found no lab, but did result in one arrest. . Jay WTiite of Page was in the residence and was found to be in possession of a significant quantity of crystal methamphetamine. He was arrested and charged with alleged possession of a dangerous drug and para- phernalia.
