It must have realized as much because it stung my lip just where it gets wet I really spit this time for it ended at my feet. I quickly grabbed for the stinger after my tongue had gotten there first and verified my fears. I pulled it out and could see it still pulsating fluid. What I did with it I dont know for I was in a hurry and stepped on the bee, hoping I could begin my journey home before it excited the whole colony. Im slightly allergic to insect bites and wasnt taking any chances. Of course, the chance of the rest of the bees coming back in defense didnt slow me down any! It was then that 1 realized that all was silent. The last I saw of them was their direction towards water, but away from me. Thinking back I remember when I was little of having a colony land on our grapevine. I was very interested in them and how my dad handled them. Plus, I have watched my share ofB movies. Except for the numbness and later a small lump, I had no reaction. The stinger must not have been very deep. All is welL News of our community family in the services 14-we- ek tion offices.
