Show Social SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS WEDNESDAY JUNES, 1996 Mitchell and Cass announce marriage Mr. and Mrs. Tom Mitchell are delighted to announce the marriage of their daughter, Amanda Jane to Jeremy Cass, son of Kenny and Melody Cass. The couple will be wed June 7, 1996 at 6 p.m. in the All Saints Episcopal Church, in Salt Lake City. A reception will follow. Natalie Riddle, daughter of Blair Riddle and Frank and Bonnie Swapp, and Steven White, son of Carroll D. White, Sr. and Linda and Delbert Donathan, will be married Friday, June 7, 1996. The couple and their parents would like to invite all friends and family to come join in their happiness at a reception that evening to be held at the Shilo Inn Willows Room, 296 W. 1st N., Kanab, Utah from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. Soderquist called to Russia Joe D. She and Kent Soderquist of La was born in Kanab, Utah to Melvin Jackson and Viona Chatterley Mognett. Verkin. President Houston and his family will be speaking in Sacrament meeting, June 9 at 10:45 a.m. at the Kanab take Center. The Houstons have been a great asset to the community of Kanab. High School graduation exer- cises were held at the Highj School on Thursday evning. Merril and Luana Clark of Northern Utah were recent visitors in Orderville. Wade and Jamie Carlson were recent visitors at her parents home, the Kyle Bartons. Derek and Sherrie Lamb from Northern Utah, Ron Lamb of Page, Brad Lamb and Sharlene Rawley of Cedar City visited at the Voi and Ferel Sorensen home. Dixie College Institute of Religion offered a fireside in Glendale. Local students participating were Katherine Johnson and Heather Gleason. home of Rena Tait. Hamblin Richard Daley to serve mission Richard Daley, son of Alan and Julie Daley, has been chosen to serve a mission to the Philippines Cebu Mission. Richard will enter the Mission Training School on June 12. He will have his farewell at the Sacrament meeting on June 9, at the Kanab First Ward, 1435 S. McAllister Drive at 11:00 a.m. and Thornock to wed Mr. and Mrs. Joe Del Hamblin of Delta, Utah, are pleased to announce the coming marriage of their daughter, Tawnya Kay, to Shane Bradley Thornock, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Thornock of Ely, Nevada. Tawnya and Shane will be married June 14 in the St. George LDS Temple. A reception in their honor will be held June 15from 7:00 until 9:30 p.m. inthe Delta Stake Center. An open house will be held June 22 from 6:00-8:3- 0 p.m. at the Thornock residence in Ely, NV. Tawnya is a 1990 graduate of Delta High School. She attended USU, UVCC, and is currently attending SUU pursuing a career in Elementary Education. Tawnya spent some time in Switzerland and served an LDS mission to England. Shane is a 1990 graduate of White Pine High School. He is a 1995 graduate of Ricks College and is currently attending SUU pursuing a career in teaching High School English and Spanish. Shane served an LDS mission to Brazil. Tawnya is the great granddaughter ofSarah Hamblin and Leola Schoenfeld, and the granddaughter of the late Ben Hamlin and Joyce Hamblin all of Kanab, and Kenneth and Virgie Schoenfeld of Yuma, Arizona and Don and ' Christy Carlson (all formerly of Kanab). |
