Show SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS WEDNESDAY APRIL 24, 1996 News Utah Highway Patrol During the period between April 6 and April 12, the Utah Highway Patrol made 170 stops, issued 128 citations and 79 warnings, attended two DUIs, assisted at six accidents and helped one motorist with car trouble. April 6 Trooper Whitaker investigated an accident on U.S. 89. Kassie Hart of Ogden hit a deer and d then which caused the vehicle to tip onto its side. No injuries thanks to seat over-correcte- belts. April 9 Moore arrested Coral Trooper Hansen of Page, Arizona, for alleged DUI. Trooper Nordfelt investigated an accident in Glendale. Alex Classen, Ottawa, Canada allowed his vehicle to drift to the right and off the road where it went into a cement ditch and then hit a cement bridge. The vehicle rolled 1 12 times, landing on its roof. All injuries were minor. I accident where Jonathan Haskie ofMarble Canyon fell asleep and drifted off the road and rolled the vehicle. The driver was injured, as well as his passengers, who were not wearing seat belts. Haskie was charged with alleged DUI with injury. Trooper Esplin later investigated an accident involving a Kanab female juvenile who did not yield at a stop sign at Red Shadow Lane and SR 11. Passengers sustained minor injuries as seat belts were not worn. Trooper Whitaker investigated an accident on SR 14.
