BUSINESS AND SERVICE DIRECTORY nominated by Utah Senator Orrin Hatch for appointment to a military academy. Tait was nominated for the Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, N.Y. Hatchs nominees come from counties in the state. The Senator said these young men 11 and women were nominated because of a desire to serve their country and upon their strong performance in academics, athletics, and citizenship. The nominees must now compete for a limited number of appointments to the four U.S. military academies. The selection for actual enrollment to the schools is in the hands of each academy. The qualifications of these 42 students are impressive, and their desire to give something back to this great country ofours is exciting. Hatch said. Im proud to recommend each one of them to the academies to help them achieve their educational and personal goals and to prepare this nation with a quality military."
