Classes will be held in the Club Room beneath the city offices in the Library Building. They will be taught by instructors from College of Eastern Utah. This program was approved to prepare high school students for immediate employment into mining. Girl Scout News Perry Lamb Dies Perry Edward Lamb, son of Edward T. and Edna May Chamberlain Lamb, died Monday, Mar. 15, 1982 at Orderville, Utah. He was born April 16, 1909, in Orderville, Utah. Survivors are: his wife, Carol Heaton Lamb, daughter, Mrs. Dave (Linda) Fairchild of Ceris, Calif., granddaughter, Beckie Fairchild. He is survived also by two sisters: Mrs. Wilford (lola) Leany, of Hurricane, Utah, and Mrs. Wilbur (Vauna) Covington of Mt. Carmel. Perry was a stockman and cowboy who loved his horses and all animals. He also loved all children, and was a buddy to many of the children of Orderville and Mt. Carmel. Mr. Lamb was active in the LDS church, holding many positions, among them Superintendent of the Sunday School, a stake missionary of the Kanab Stake and he and e his wife served a mission to the St. Louis Miss. full-tim- Mission from June 1977 to Dec. 1978. Perry was a friend to all and a hard worker who helped many friends and neighbors especially with gardens and livestock. My own mother was a recipient of his kindness as he came each year to plow her garden after she became a widow in 1936. Many others benefited by his kind acts and knew he was truly a friend and interested in their well being, being. League Sets Book Review Literary League is presenting a book review by Dora Smith this Saturday, March 20, at 2 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Senior Citizen Center. Hostesses are Leah Jackson, Joan Lee and Ann Brown. We hope to see all league members there. A nominating committee will be selected. Girl Scout and Brownie from Fredonia helc their 2nd annual Girl Seoul Banquet on Friday, Mar. 12 ir conjunction with the Gir Troops Scouts 70th Birthday. It was held at the Fredonia Ward Cultural hall at 7 p.m. Il was a pot luck event and there was a huge variety of main dishes and desserts. This event was for the girls and their parents and was very w'ell attended. Each troop provided their own style oi entertainment and it consisted of songs, skits and poems. The Cadettes awarded some silly awards and also some badges and patches. The winners of the Birthday Bonanza coloring contest were announced. They were Brownies, Amy Johnson; Juniors, Jennifer Dalton; CadetteV, Cindy Torgerson. The pictures were judged by the Senior Citizens of Fredonia under the direction of Hazel Honey. Senior students from Valley High School are invited to attend as well as adults from the community who wish to obtain this program. Completion of this program will qualify these people for immediate employment into the mining industry.
