Show LELAND GRAEHL DROWNS on saturday afternoon ot of last week lelaud leland the 12 year old son of 0 mr and mrs george L graehl formerly of this city was drowned at the sanitarium in salt lake city the lad could not swim and he was in the shallow pool with a number of other boys all of 0 whom were having a good time when one of the lads noticed leland lying on the bottom 0 of the cemented pool and immediately dove and dragged him to the surface medical edical Al help was summoned but bt all the efforts to resuscitate the young lad were futile at the time it was charged that leland had been thrown into the deep pool by a man who was loitering in the place and he be was placed under arrest pending the inquest which the coroner ordered the jury acquitted that individual however as the other boys testified that it was they who were thrown into the water the remains were brought to 6 this city on monday afternoon accompanied by the family and ami a large company of other relatives and beautiful services were held in the second ward chapel beginning at there was a wealth of floral emblems and comforting remarks were made by bishop 7 H blackburn elders alaers nepal J valentine jonah mathias president oleen N stohl and nels I 1 madsen bishop blackburn stated that the father of the young man had received a premonition momi tion in the form of a dream a few evenings before his son was drowned that something would befall him and was therefore prepared tor for the sad news when it came the musical numbers rendered by the choir were the he 1 I need thee every hour and aad sometime well understand between speakers victor E sang resignation and E W lee sang 0 dry those tears the prayers were offered by peter baird and bishop D P burt |
