Show SOCIETY gusday evening the Y L A M I 1 A of the third ward went on a canyon trip to the green sward near the foot of the dugway at the head of the canyon frying pans kettles and other cooking utensils were taken along and a regular hot camp fire supper was prepared and served after which the girls di sported themselves in games and other pleasurable pastimes there were tour four wagons loads of the sweet things about sixty in and they ibey had a splendid time even it if there were tour four horrid men in the camp en cap the men enjoyed themselves hunting wood tor for the camp fires and packing water the first wardy L at I 1 LA A and as many of f beir their friends as cared tomake the trip spent tuesday in willard canyon exploring jibe the beauties of that wonderland the excursion party rode from this city down to willard on the electric car and then made the trip up the canyon on toot foot under the guidance of miss delta cole the scenery is most grand and wild and the passage way between the rugged mountains is so narrow that it Is impossible to drive a conveyance tar far up the canyon the excursionists had a great day clambering over rocks and cliffs splashing in the water falls and then investigating the lunch baskets A large company made the trip and the outing was thoroughly enjoyed a a a miss aliss bessie burt and miss AMs norma anderson entertained at it a delightful lawn party saturday evening at the home of chas T anderson A pleasant evening was enjoyed by about forty young folks the following being present misses zillah wight irma knudson majerle knudson opal knudson florence knudson flora taylor helen jensen muriel horsley Il M ray knudson elnora simonson Sl monson chloe nelson gladys hull manilla forsgren vera southworth zelma shaw of ogden norma hudson ruth nuth hargis I 1 liless rs lloyd reese elliot wight basil fife willie call frank petersen max fishburn Fish Durn noble sheffield ld orval larsen arsen fred stacey eugene watkins mathew compton bevard nichols leslie lealie olsen wilford jensen vero vere hansen foster simonsen delbert olsen a e last evening at th the e home of the brides parents miss bliss verda iverson and mr air ellery wight two of perrys most popular young people were united in marriage by president oleen N stohl immediately following the marriage ceremony a sumptuous luncheon was as served and then the evening was spent in games and social conversation the bride was handsomely gowned and the home was profusely decorated with flowers the bride Is the charming daughter of mr air and mrs alma iverson and the groom is the son of mr air and mrs almon aimon wight both are splendid types of sturdy young man and woman hood and have a host of friends for a time miss iverson was the popular lady clerk at the brigham city pharmacy mr air and mrs wight will make their home hoine at perry and the news joins with their many friends in extending hearty congratulations the ceremony was witnessed by the atiles of the contracting parties and in as much as the two families are large ones there was a host present a a a last night miss esther sorensen daughter of mr air and mrs airs peter IL sorensen and hans A palle son of mr air and mrs jacob palle were united in marriage by bishop T 14 blackburn 0 0 v A delightful childrens party was given on the spacious lawn in front of the home of mr air and mrs joseph F hansen last tuesday afternoon in honor of their little daughter lana there were fifteen little guests present and the tots played games of various kinds danced to the music of the edison diamond disc talking machine and partook of dainty refreshments |
