The Division of Consumer Protection would like to remind parents to take extra care with household chemicals, pesticides and medicine. Here are a few tips to make your home a safer one. Household chemicals and medicine 1. Keep all chemicals and medicines locked up and out of sight. Keep all items in original containers with the original label. Be sure and read the label before using. 2. When products are in use, never let young children out of your sight, even ifyou must take them along when answering the phone or the door. 3.
