Veda and Isabella Cox had visit- ors this weekend. Veda's brother James, wife Diane and son David were here. David spoke at church on Sunday. James Cox has been promoted to Terminal Trainmaster lor the Union Pacific Railroad In Salt Lake. James and his family live in Sandy. Norman and Madeline Davis and family enjoyed a couple of days In Northern Utah. They took their kids, Maurltla, Jennifer and Michael to Lagoon. They also went on a water slide. It was nice to get away. Cindy Lang and two boys, Bryan and Bradly from St. George were here visiting with Betty and John Jimenez for a week. John and Betty also spent this last weekend in Las Vegas visiting John's brother Jim and his wife Marilyn. Last Tuesday, Richard, Phyllis, Heather and Michael Mayer made a surprise visit to Faust, Utah to see Greg and Peggy Campeau. While there they did some school shopping in Salt Lake. Heather then decided to stay a week with her friend Kodi before school starts. Iva Davis and her boys, Eric, Andy spent Sunday at Lehman Caves. They met tlielr Grandpa and Grandma, Aunts, and Uncles and cousins aU from Ely. Together they all celebrated their cousins birthday. Stacy Whittaker celebrated her birthday Monday August 6th, with a swimming party and refreshments held at the park. The Old Timers were very busy this weekend. On Saturday morning they served breakfast to about 150 people who were here attending a class reunion. And then that evening they provided a program of singing and dancing. It was reported that the food was delicious, and the entertainment was great. Loretta and Jennifer Foreman have had a fun couple of weeks. They flew down to Freeport, Texas to visit with her sister, Mary, and her new baby. visited They also Loretta's other sister, Peggy who lives in Houston and works in an office building just like J. R. Ewings. They saw lots of other sights and swam in the ocean and and Adam played on the beach, where Loretta got bit by a jelly fish and Jennifer by a crab. Other than that they had a great time. They drove back with Loretta's mom. Loretta said they drove one full day and still were in the state of Texas. Tney stopped in Arizona to visit relatives. Once they finally reached Milford they spent one night and then went up to Heber where Lorettas Dad was attending a class reunion. They all enjoyed visiting friends and relatives while there. A Ferguson Family Reunion was held Sunday, August 5th at the park. It was in honor of Bill and Lisa McDonald (son of Vaughn and Betty McDonald). Bill recently graduated from the University of Utah. He is in the Air Force and will soon be reporting to Eglin Air Force Base, Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Relatives attending the reunion and the and wedding of Kipp Sherwood Valorie Rollins were Betty, Vaughn, Mary, and Mikey McDonald from St. George; Corine Ferguson of Reno; Kris, Kurt, Brook, Tyler and Trevor Yardley from Stockton, Calif.; Leslie, Sean and Kurt Sherwood from Salt Lake; Randy and Ranae William s; and Andy and Kelley LaGrow from Las Vegas. A garden wedding was held on Saturday for Kipp Sherwood and Valorie Rollins. It was held at the lovely Rollins's home on the Milford Flat. Many local friends and relatives attended. Among the guests were: Bob and Ileen Rollins of W. Bountiful; Debbie Taylor from PocateUo; Chris and Pam Yardley from Roy; Mrs. Doris Larson, from Orville, Calif.; Ross and Barbara Taylor and Mr. and Mrs. Collie Taylor of Salt Lake; Shellie Jones; Kristy Fawson and family LuAnn from Mapleton; Reeds; Margie Kiezer; Joy Shiner and girls from Woods Cross; McKay Basil and Alice Rollins; Rollins; and Marsha and Gary Applegate from Tooele; and Marshas girls from Weiser, Idaho. Tiffany Miller, daughter of David and Donetta Miller celebrated her 5th birthday this week. She had friends over to her home for cake and ice cream and games. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baxter had their son Greg, his wife and children, Troy, Adam, Bryce and Lindsay here visiting for the weekend They are from Sandy, Utah. Their oldest son Tyler was unable to come, because he was on a scouting trip in the Uintahs. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Belliston attended a Sam son family reunion on in Lyman, Wayne Saturday, County. They spent Saturday night and returned home on Sunday. One of the best class reunions ever held took place in Milford this past weekend. It was a reunion for alumni graduating prior to and including 1945. Approximately 275 people attended. On Friday night they had a sL.ak fry at Big Rock; then on Saturday morning they attended a delicious breakfast served by the Old Timers. Before returning to Milford, they spent two days in Salt Lake City with Terry, Wendee and Brandon Long. Mrs. Dana Kaye Steorts is home from the Beaver Valley Hospital after a weeks stay. Mr. and Mrs.ArnoldSwindlehurst spent several days with Arthur Blackner on their way home from Provo, whey they had been visiting their son Lee and his family. The Swindlehursts live in Boulder City, Nevada. Mrs. Marie Thompson and two daughters drove to Vernal, Utah, on Saturday to visit her niece who lives there. Marie took her mother and father with her also. Mrs. Susette Blackner and family were in Sallna for several days the past week to help her mother, Mrs. Janet Beach who has been in the Richfield Hospital. Greenville had a taste of what a freeway through here would be like on Monday. All highway 21 traffic was rerouted through because the highway was being repaired. Brent and Sandy Edwards and their children, Bessie Edwards, Eric, Shane and Natalie Edwards and Ashley Taylor were in Cedar City Tuesday evening for a birthday dinner at the home of Deloy and Annette Shepherd. It was their baby daughters (Julie Ann) first birthday. Deloys mother, Mae Shepherd from Salt Lake City, and his grandmother Destrip from Meadow were also there to help celebrate the occassion. Recent visitors at the home of Golda Williams were her daughter Hazel, her husband Hugh, and Judy and Dale Taylor and family all of Teasdale, Utah. and Doris Hutchison Clarence have moved to Hatch, Utah. They purchased a Trailer Park, Motel and Laundry unit. Chris and Rayma Chesley returned to their home in California on Tuesday. The Chesleys have spent the past month at their home here. Mrs. Brenda Hutchinson and three children of Springvllle have been visiting at the home of Ken and Sandy Barton. They returned home Sunday. Mrs. Sandy Barton and children drove to the northern part of the state last week where they visited relatives and did some jhool shopping. Later in the week they drove to St. George and visited Sandys sister, Euginia. Joyce and Chuck Newberry and a friend, Eric, from Mexico left Tuesday for Mexico to take Eric home and then on to their home in California. They have been here most of the summer. The Newberrys have a plane and both are experienced pilots and have flown in and out of the airport many times while they have been here for the summer. Cullen and Mary Ann Williams and son, Chad, and James and Lillian Williams went to CiroevilleonSun-da- y to attend Sacrament Meeting where Carolyn and Mike Dalton had their baby daughter named and given a blessing. A family dinner was enjoyed after the meeting.
