Show REVIEW. . RUTH PLAY HOT MEETAUG.15 Final steps for the annual baseSalt Lake County-Wi- de ball tournament are being taken- - by the Recreation Dept. The tournament, to run the week of August 15, will provide 'tournament competition for junior baseballers between the ages of 8 and 14. All games are set at George Q. Morris diamonds on 2350 South 2nd West. Play is still underway to determine many of the team that will participate in toe program. There will be games for Giant League, Major League and Peewee League athletes, reports. Art Lee, program c The battle for Pacific Southwest Babe Ruth baseball honors continues hot here as teams from Utah, California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii and Mexico battle for regional honors. Junior baseballers took a break after two torrid days at activity to be guests at Lagoon Resort. But the vacation was shortlived with Thursdays schedule beginning at 4 P.M. The eight-tea- m tourney will continue Friday following another sightseeing tour for the young baseballers who are scheduled to take a swim in the Great Salt Lake as guests of Silver Sands. Fridays activity at Magna Baseball Park begins at 6:30 p.m. with serais Friday Bight .and Saturday morning.
