Utah isnt handling some of their most needy cases even now. In some Utah counties, the medically indigent dont receive any care at all. Utah just doesnt have the facilities. Its the job of the County Commission to take care of these people and some just arent doing it. Mr. Dlx stated that over $100,000 is spent on hospitalization alone in Utah. There are about 400 people hospitalized each month and over half of them are 65. With the new influx of cases, wont therebe of hospital bed shortages space, facilities, scarcities of trained medical personnel and other shortcomings? There are some things suchas medicine that the federal government wont pay for. Utah is supposed to be able to fill these gaps with the saved money. We must provide facilities in those places which need them. We must expand the existing facilities to accommodate the added people. Weve always had federal matching funds here in Utah, but as of July 1st this match MYLES W. ROMNEY of the Priesthood Missionary mittee. and Mrs. THELMA W. FETZER of the Primary Association.
