Foyt, the only four-tim- e Indy 500 winner (1961, 1964, 1967 and 1977), has been a starter for 25 consecutive years. Rutherford won in 1974, 1976 and 1980. Unser wore the crown in 1970, 1971 and 1978. Johncock, the defending Indy 500 champ, also captured the 1973 race.
