Some time ago, the Chamber of Commerce started issuing Blue Cards. The issuance of to an a Blue Card organization is a privilege which means the Chamber finds your cause of benefit to the community and assures the businessman that your group or organization has been checked by the Chamber office. This does not mean that the merchant must donate to your cause, only that you have a good valid reason for your solicitation. Area merchants are encouraged to ask to see the solicitors Blue Card. If they do not have one, the merchant has the option to request they obtain one before he will consider their request for a donation from him. Blue Card applications are available at the Chamber office, and must be filled out in person. Blue Cards do not sanction telephone solicitation. All residents are encouraged to use this service free of charge. |
