The Sun Advocate would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to our many dedicated carriers. Carrying newspapers provides carriers with spending money they otherwise wouldnt have. In just a few hours a month they earn money for school Affairs and Ad- ministration. The CPAA has sponsored four county treasurers institutes in the past year, including a recent session that covered property tax administration, government operations, liability and communication skills for managers. The CPAA is a U of U public service operation that promotes more efficient state and local government through education and research. impaired Active Re-entr- y, the Southeastern Utah Independent Living Center, has special equipment to help the hearing or speech impaired. As independent businesspeople, carriers employ the spirit of enterprise and ambition that made our countries great. For many, route duties provide the first valuable lessons in responsibility, money management, perseverance and public relations. These tests build maturity that carry through to the rest of a carriers life. This maturity no doubt helped form the fabric of these famous former carriers: John Wayne, Willie Mays, Bob Hope, Dwighi D. Eisenhower, H. Ross Perot, Wayne Gretsky and Walt Disney.
