The couple will be married Oct. 7 in the Manti LDS Temple. All friends and relatives are invited to attend a reception in their honor that evening from 7 to 9 at the Carbonville LDS 2nd Ward, 175 North 1280 West, Price. The couple will make their home in Orem and will attend Utah Valley Community College. Green River student named to national band Xela Taylor has been selected for membership the in American Musical Am- bassadors Band. This highly select concert band, composed of outstanding high school students from all over the United States, will tour several European countries for three weeks next July. Xela, daughter of Ron and Suzanne Taylor, is a member of the Green River High School Band, directed by Jessica Jenkins. The tour group will visit Paris, Lucerne, Lugano, Milan, Verona, Venice, Innsbruck, Salzburg, Heidelberg, Amsterdam, Windsor and London. Highlights of the tour will include concerts in the concert halls and major parks of Europe and a two-da-y visit in the homes of Dutch families. Students will visit many sites of musical and historical importance as well as popular tourist attractions. The American Musical Ambassadors have taken nearly 4,000 outstanding young musicians to Europe in the 17 previous years. Conductors of the bands are among the most prestigious band directors in the U.S. The 1989 conductors include Professor Richard L. Floyd, University of Texas; Professor Gary W. Hill, University of Missouri, Kansas City; and Professor Jerry F. Junkin, University of Texas. The tours are organized and directed by Professor Maxine Lefever, a member of Purdue Universitys band staff for the past 25 years.
