The theme of this years banking and business forum is on Utahs Banking Businesses. According to Utah Bankers Association President Louis A. And while this is frequently where financial help originates, there are many other sources of funding and other resources which are available. Even if there isnt a current need for financial assistance, we encourage every business person to establish a long-terrelationship with a banker. The banker is then in a position to assist in advising on financial matters even before the need for money arises, Harris said. Lawrence W. Alder, UBA executive vice president, said the forum will stress that most of the growth in Utahs economy has come from within. While we continue to encourage business and industry to locate in our state, we must never overlook the potential economic impact of our local small and mid-siz-e businesses, Alder said. The banking and business forum in Price is one of a series of meeting sponsored by local banks and the Utah Bankers Association throughout Utah. A minimum of 12 inches of new gravel will be placed on both truck lanes, each of which are approximately 1,500 feet long. Weather depending, work on this project will be done this year. Work will be done on only one lane at a time and that lane will be totally closed to use while its being worked on.
