All family and friends are invited to attend. Golden anniversary Harry Reed and Berniece Hacking Balle of East Carbon and Glenwood, Utah celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on May 26, 1987. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on May 26, 1937. Mr. Balle has spent 43 years in education, teaching all grades from first through 12th, and all subjects in each grade except home economics and womens physical education. For over half of those 43 years he was the principal as well as a teacher in various schools in Wayne and Carbon counties. He has held many positions in the LDS Church, among these, bishop in Columbia, Utah from . With Mrs. Balle, he did work in the Manti Temple one day a week from 1978 to 1981, when it closed. Mrs. Balle graduated with high honors from Brigham Young University with a bachelor of science degree and taught school for many years. She was a member of the BYU baseball, basketball and touch football teams and participated in various track events and was very active in music, dance, theater and speech at BYU.
