Over the next few weeks Ill be sampling the television fare and reporting to you what Ive managed to glean out of all thats being thrown at us. First up is the worst new syndicated series Ive seen this past week which is Superboy put out by those Salkinds who were responsible for the films over the past few years. Not only is Super boy a poor copy of the films, it is also a poorer copy of the series in the 1950s which starred George Reeves. Superboy (the debut episode) suffered from a lackluster script, poor production values and stilted acting (if thats what you want to call it). Sure, it has a teenage Clark Kent, Lana Lang and even Lex Luthor with hair but the dialogue was strictly for the kiddie crowd and even they may tune it out.
