Show 5 Over Payson, Bear River Warriors Stop Huskies TAYLORSVILLE. with a knock-dow- with t visiting Hillcrest Friday, Taylorsvilles Warriors were finally able to shake the pesky Huskies with some key foul shooting down the stretch and emerge with a 71-6- MURRAY. Two wins last week, 3 over Payson on Wednesday and 70-5over Bear River on Friday, gave coach Craig Hammer and the Murray Spartans a 2 record, which is the best start for the Murray school in some years. The Spartans will now put their record to the test against Taylorsville at the Warrior gym tomorrow (Friday) in the annual "Battle of 53rd South". Game time is set for 7:30. The win over Payson saw six Murray players wind up in double figures and also saw a three-poin- t exhibition as the shooting Spartans hit on 7x11 from home run range. Coach Hammer felt that his kids were still upset about losing the previous night in double overtime to West Jordan and that they played one of the 9 5 5-- victory. Taylorsville byed Tuesday, but traveled to Viewmont Wednesday (after sports deadline).
