No sense in breaking tradition is there? Lance and Gurt, very similar to Jack and Jill - sort of a one for all and all for one kind of pair - enjoyed themselves thoroughly Friday night at the State Capitol. The two, along with many other Lancers from Lancerville. danced the night away. It is truly amazing that Lance finally gained enough courage to ask Gurt to the dance, the infamous dance, the last dance, the Senior Ball. Gurt, taken by complete surprise had no other choice than to accept Lances offer. Why break tradition, right? Starting the evening off right, Lance prepared a very special candlelight dinner for Gurt. Luckily, neither of them spilled anything on themselves. (You see that would ruin their pictures that they had taken at the dance). Both of them enjoyed swaying to the music, not only because they are seniors ( and to think youve gone this entire year without knowing how old they are) but because Senior Ball was their last dance together. On May 28 the annual Kearns high spring runoff will take place. This is a 5.000 meter (3.1 mile) race in which you can walk, run, crawl, or whatever. Proceeds will go to charity, as has been the case in past years. Anyone can participate, so gather your family and friends and come run. The spring sports week will be coming up shortly, so keep your eyes open for more info. Senior Ball is on May 23 at the State Capitol rotunda. It's the last formal dance of the year and, for you seniors, your last. It is open to all the student body, not just seniors, but is sponsored by the senior class. They have made special plans for this dance and it promises to be the ultimate. So guys, hurry and get a date. There are plenty of girls out there. Don't miss this one. If you have springitis and need some excitement, go to school, thats all you need to do. Kearns high is prepared with ail kinds of entertainment to deal with this springitis epidemic.
