Arthur Roberts, Jr., has been called to serve an LDS mission in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He will enter the training center on Feb. 4. The future missionary will speak at meeting in the Granger South 1st ward, 4251 So. 4800 West, at 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 25th. An open house will follow at the Roberts home, 4700 W. Palmer Drive. Russ is a graduate of Granger high and has been attending the Utah Technical college. He has been the assistant manager at K-- Mens Store in the Fashion Place Mall the past two years. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Archie M. Hovyer, formerly of Magna, now living in American Fork. 82nd birthday of Beatrice Orullian Barton Stoddard will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 31, 1987 with an open house at the Oaken Bucket Restaurant, 3535 West 3500 South. Friends and family are being invited to call between the hours of 2 and 4 p.m. The children, grandchildren and who are hosting the event say that they want your presence only and no presents. . e s fl 5 0 . Beatrice was born the daughter of John and Ozana Orullian of Aintab, Armenia. Nothing will ever make those families whole again and their heartache will not end with Hoffmans imprisonment. No matter how long he is confined. Its not that Is Hoffman guilty or not" but its more the lingering thought that how could such a man, with even a pleasing personality, be able to get a way with cheating us for so long? Are we, as a people so gullible? So easy to con? It's long been known that companies with a gimmick to sell, people with a pyramid scheme, or other fringe artists, have targeted Utah as an easy area. ol How long could he have gone on selling his documents to us before someone questioned the alidity of his stuff? Did we think there was a bottomless pit of early LDS papers? clecea.-e-d The Bible says to be as gentle as a dove, yes, but in the very same sentence, it also cautions us to be as wily as a serpent.
