Ceramics For Seniors Begins Here Next Week MAGNA. A new class will begin Friday for seniors who want to learn the basics of ceramics, according to Jean Orton, director of the Magna Senior Citizen Center. Also, advanced ceramic classes will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, in additon to the new class for beginners on Friday. All sessions a re held from 9:30 a.m. to noon, and are taught by Sherrie Jorganson. There are also craft classes that will be making gifts for Christmas giving on Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon, and from 12:30 to 2 p.m., as well as oil painting on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon and china painting the same day at the same time. The center will be closed on Oct. 13 for Columbus Day and there will be a day on Oct. 17.
