Basic local service revenues exchange shall not include revenues obtained by the telephone public utility company from the sale or lease of terminal telephone equipment services (such as basic telephone sets, private branch exchanges and key telephone systems), or (rom other telecommunications equipment which is offered for sale or lease from both the telephone company and other suppliers. Within forty-fiv- days after the end of each month in a calendar year, the public utility taxed hereunder shall file with the City Treasurer of Murray City a report of its gross revenue derived from the sale and use of a public utility service in Murray City as defined herein, together with a computation of the tax levied hereunder against the said utility. Coin cidental with the tiling of such report, the utility shall pay to the City Treasurer the amount of the tax due for that calendar month subject to said report. The treasurer of said City shall determine the accuracy of the tax computation, and if he finds any errors, said Treasurer shall report the same to the Company for correction. If the tax as paid is found to be deficient, the Company shall promptly remit the difference, and if the tax as paid is found excessive, the City shall promptly refund the difference. The records of the Company pertaining to such report shall be open for inspection by the City or its duly authorized representatives at all reasonable hours upon the giving of reasonable notice of its intention to inspect such records for the purpose of verifying subject report. SECTION II In the opinion of the Municipal Council of Murray City, it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Murray City that this ordinance become tive immediately upon its first publication and filing of a copy thereof in the office of the City Recorder of Murray City, Utah. SECTION III This Ordinance shall take effect upon the first publication and filing of copy thereof if the office of the City Recorder of Murray City, Utah. The purpose of the assessment and levy is to pay those costs of the subject improvements which the Municipality will not assume and pay. The method of assessment shall be by lineal front foot as set forth herein. The assessments may be paid by property owners in ten (10) annual installments with interest on the unpaid balance at a rate of ten percent (10) per annum, or the whole or any part of the assessment may be paid without interest within fifteen (15) days after the ordinance levying the assessment becomes effective. The assessments shall be levied according to the benefits to be derived by each property within Ihe District.
