A Rainbow of Excellence is the theme for observance of National Catholic School week in progress at St. Francis Xavier Catholic school. Kindergarten and first grade students are wearing their brightest outfits to school this week, adding their own rainbow hues to the school, noted coordinator Geraldine Conti. Parents and grandparents have been invited to visit classes today (Thursday) and to join the children for WARRIOR WORLD by Kim Crittenden refreshments. Sweetheart Ball is coming up fast. All of the Warrior women are casing the halls looking for just the right guy to snatch. Everyone should note that the date of the dance has been set back one week so your calendars may be incorrect. The dance will be held Saturday Feb. 22 from Tickets will go on sale the week of the dance, so keep this thought on hold for another couple of weeks. The stomp Friday will be held after the basketball game. The Warriors will host Cottonwood at 7:30. They found that teacher comments have an effect on students' motivation to learn.
