Holladays American Legion crew found itself on both contests in the first sides of one-ru- n week of league action. Holladay dropped a 3 to Judge last Wednesday, but rallied for a bottom of the seventh run to edge Brighton 5 at Ken Price field Friday. However, Mondays game with Highland had to be postponed due to rain. hear-break- 4-- er 6-- Judge Holladay 4, Russell walked and moved to second on wild pitch, Mike Robbins walked and Chad Fife singled. Judge added the insurance run in the bottom of the sixth, while Holladay answered with a single run in the top of the seventh. Marc Duback walked, moved to second on a Doug Scott single, reached third on a fielders choice and scored on Rick Crofts sacrifice fly. Holladay pitcher Rod Young, struck out 10 and gave up four hits and two earned runs, though still listed with the loss. Wiles had a homer and a single in the contest, Quintana a triple and single and Medina a triple as Dallins club played long ball. Provo Tech scored five times in the first inning to pick up its win over Kearns in the round-robitourney. Dallin was pleased with his teams play, noting that he hopes the winning ways will continue. Granger suffered its first loss at the hands of its neighboring rival as Jim Orwin and Wayne Arroyo combined to scatter seven hits and strike out nine. Granger opened the scoring with a pair of runs in the second. Todd Steele stroked a double and base hits by Ryan Stephens, Kevin Anderson and Marty Haynie produced the two runs.
