Davich, Vicar General, officiated at the marriage of Susan Elizabeth Wilson and Richard Anthony Purol,' Jr. The two were joinded in a doublering ceremomy performed in a Mass at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on September 29th. A brides luncheon was held at Deveraux House and a reception to honor the newlyweds was given later that evening at the Willow Creek Country Club. Witnessing the ceremony were Bishop Joseph Lennox Federal, retired Bishop of the Salt Lake Catholic Diocese, Rev. Monsignor Mark 0. Benvegnu and the Rev. C. William Curnutte. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon R. Wilson, Salt The grooms parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Smith, Sandy, hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Printers Loft. He is a graduated of Cottonwood high and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Utah with a masters in Business Adaministration. He was affiliated with the Alpha Delta Pi Fraternity. Mrs. Patricia Wilson Pankow served as the matron of honor and other attendants were Kathleen Wilson Peacock, Barbara Shovars, Michele Moore and Sheri Norberg. Attending the guest book was Jan and Paul Wehner of Elkhorn, Nebraska. Best man duties were performed by Brian Wood with Richard Wilson, Thomas Wilson, Michael Garcia and Roger Greene as ushers. Bello was honored on his 90th birthday by a family party held October 6th at the home of his daughter, Dorothy Bello Johnson. Special verbal tributes were presented to him at this time by his four children. Chester was born on the family homestead, on the north fork of the Humboldt River near Elko, Nevada, on October 6, 1894. His parents were Louis Ferrer and Louisa Jane Stevens Bello. In 1906 the Bello family bought a farm in Hunter, after a successful venture in farming and cattle raising in Nevada. Chester lived in Hunter until his marriage. As a child he was educated in Granite district schools and later he attended and graduated from West high where he was active in athletic school affairs. His favorite was the baseball team. During this time he lived with his maternal aunt, Margaret Holley of Salt Lake. While attending Utah State Agricultural College in Logan, he met and fell in love with a young coed named Mae Louise Burris. After his marriage he independently farmed for seven years in Hunter and then in 1924, he took over the managership of the ASAR-CFarm (American Smelting and Refining Co.) in Magna. This farm was an agricultural research farm designed to accurately measure the affects of S02 gases (smelter smoke) on crops and animals in western Salt Lake and Tooele counties. In 1948 Chester and Mae moved to 26th South and 20th East where they reside today. Chester continued to work for American Smelting and Refining as a research engineer at their laboratory in Granger until his retirement. He has been actively engaged in church work and community service his entire life, with the experiences in Boy Scouting, Salt Lake County Fair, Farm Bureau, soft ball and home teaching as some of the highlights. His 90 years are an outstanding example of one who has labored and devoted his life to his family, church and community. Chester and Mae are the parents of four children, two sons and two daughers: Margaret Bello Tobler, Orem; Clair Louis, Salt Lake; Chester Dale, Magna; and Dorothy Bello Johnson, Holladay. Their family will honor them with a a family dinner at the on October 7th. Albert was born in Inkpen, England on April 23, 1893, and at the age of 17 immigrated to the U.S. Johanna was born on October 3, 1899, in Copenhagen, Denmark, and came to the U.S. at the age of 16. They were married on October 3, 1917, in the Logan LDS Temple. Albert and Johanna are residents of Riverton where they have been farmers since 1922. They specialized in raising hay, grains, sugar beets, peas, potatoes, etc. and also raised chickens, dairy cows, horses, pigs, and always had a few dogs and cats around as pets. Both are active in the LDS church and have served in many church Chuck-A-Ram- capacities, Johanna is still a Relief Society Visiting Teacher, and she served mostly in the primary. They enjoy traveling and have visited many parts of the globe, which has enabled them to attend the dedication of several LDS temples, some being, London, Oakland and The Jordan River. Albert and Johanna are the parents of 14 children: A. George, Jean Allen, both Sandy; Golden L., Los Gatos, California; Margarett Gillett, Melvin, Donna Adams, all of Riverton; Wesley, Malta, Idaho; Elaine McReynolds, Darlene Hirschi, both Salt Lake; Dean, Blackfoot, Idaho; Grace MacKie, lone, Washington; Eunice McDaniel, Urie, Wyoming; and Nancy Call, Bountiful.
