Show In June - Trio To Attend Girls State TAYLORSVILLE. Kerri S. Lindman, Stephanie Oaks and Brenda Huff will represent Taylorsville high at Girls State, to be held Sunday through June 9 at Southern Utah State College in Cedar City. The girls were chosen by representatives of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 132. Girls State is an annual event sponsored by the American Legion auxiliaries to give girls an opportunity to learn about democracy and experience the organizing and election processes at first hand by developing a Girls State, similar to their own state government. Miss Lindman is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Lindman, the Oaks girl is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis E. Oaks and Miss Huff is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith L. Huff. Farmington Man Is Citizen Of The Month WEST VALLEY. A Farmington man has been named by the West Valley Police Department as Citizen of the month for May. Boyd Jensen of Farmington received the award for his part in and disarming a apprehending juvenile shoplifting suspect in an area shopping center.
