Children in special education classes at three schools will present a Christmas program at 10:30 am. tomorrow (Friday) at Truman elementary. The students, from David Gourley, Fremont and Truman schools, will present The Witch Who Stole Christmas. About 42 children are involved in the presentation, which is under the direction of teachers Karen Carter, Connie Petersen and Beckie Allan. The program will be presented at 2 p.m. Monday at Truman school for families and friends. Monday Concert Is Planned At p.m. Fri. - Plus Initiation Pee Sleeves by the concert band, A and Christmas Carol Festival Pastoral by the orchestra. Vocal numbers under the direction of Norman Wendel will include O Come All Ye Faithful and Good King Wenceslas by the mens choir, Sleigh Ride and Winters on Its Way by the womens choir. The concert choir selections will include Did Mary Know? and White Christmas. Music by the madrigals will include Its Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas and I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus. The orchestra, junior choir, concert choir and madrigals will be joined by alumni of the singing groups in presenting the traditional finale of O Holy Night and the Hallelujah Chorus. About 300 are expected to take part in the finale, Mr. Wendel said. A reunion for all former and present madrigals will be held in the choir room following the program. The madrigals will participate in about 47 programs during the holiday season and concert choir in 14, Mr. Wendel said. They have performed at malls throughout the area and on Temple Square. Concert choir performances are scheduled Dec. 22 at the Dept, of Transportation, State Capitol, LDS church offices and the City and County Building. The madrigals will perform tomorrow for the Insurance Underwriters meeting at the Marriott Hotel. Saturday they will sing for the National Guard headquarters staff and at a matinee at Promised Valley Playhouse. The Lion House and Cottonwood elementary are on their schedule for Monday, LDS hospital and Calvin Smith elementary Tuesday.
