Both swimming and tennis. A variety of programs are being offered this summer by Service Area One officials at the Kearns Community swimming pool and tennis courts, 5624 So. 4800 West. Swim classes are available for youngsters and adults, in groups or individually. Recreation officials also are providing instruction in hydrobics (water exercise) and tennis. Camps will include basketball, volleyball, tennis and jogging. Signups may be before the Friday prior to the sessions startup, Service Area officials said. They also plan to open a weight room on June 6. Physical fitness enthusiasts can get off to a good start each morning with the help of the centers lap swimming hours. The pool will be reserved for swimmers from 9 each weekday morning. The daily cost is $1 for Service Area residents ($1.25 for nonresidents). For those who swim laps on a regular basis, the Service Area is offering a discount book with 25 days for $16.25, an average price of 65 cents. Hydrobics classes will operate on roughly the same schedule as the swim school, running in three-wee- k sessions starting June 6. Classes are offered Mondays, 0 Wednesdays and Fridays from a.m., and Tuesdays and p.m. The Thursdays from 5:30-6:3- 0 program also is scheduled on Saturdays from 9 a.m. Signups will be held at the start of each session (June 6, July 5, Aug. 1 ) .
