Show At West Lake Junior High Nebraskan To Preach Sunday - Students Take Elections Seriously GRANGER. Elec- ting students to office at West Lake junior high is not just a pass- - practice in the actual process used by registered voters throughout the United States. West Lake has been ing occurrence, but is geared to give them divided into five precincts, with student lists obtained from their advisory of the teachers. A map school includes which rooms fall into which areas. On election day, voting is set up in each of the five precincts. A student gives his name and advisory teacher. His name is checked off the printed list and he is given a ballot. After voting, he deposits his ballot into a locked box, thus casting his own vote. A student noted Larry Burton, student body adviser. Under this process, more than 70 percent of the students participate. Its a real life type sit- uation. The kids who care are those who elect. In checking over the lists of those who vote, it was discovered that as a general rule, ninth graders had the highest percentage of voting, but sometimes the eighth graders topped VOTE FOR ME , . .
