Gourley Notary Public ADDITIONAL SALARIES FOR COACHES Each Senior High School Boys: For staff members without a masters degree, deduct $224 from the salary shown on schedule. For staff members with a masters degree plus 30 quarter hours of graduate credit, add $545 to the salary shown. 3. For staff members with a masters degree plus 60 quarter hours of graduate credit, add $1,087 to the salary shown. 4. For staff members with a doctors degree add $1,880 to the salary shown. 5. Substitute teachers will receive assignments through the District Office for those teaching fields and levels in which they can establish competence. In emergencies and in consideration of the health, welfare, and safety of pupils, a substitute may be assigned temporarily to any position. Payment for substitute teaching will be made only to those persons who have made formal application with the Personnel Office. 2. Substitute teaching is considered an eight hour (8) day and should be reported as such by the schools to the Payroll Department. Substitute teachers are expected to report to the school office 15 minutes prior to the beginning of school and remain for the full school day. They are expected to perform those duties assigned by the principal in order to receive the full daily substitute rate. This full day includes elementary planning days. Any time short of this should be prorated for payroll purposes. - 3. are aware that some high schools will use the same coach for both boys and girls swim activities, due to the fact that both will be held at the same time. For this reason, the following three options are available to each high school: We If a separate boys coach and a separate girls coach is used, the boys coach would receive eleven (11) days coaching pay, and the girls coach would receive nine (9 ) days' coaching pay. 1. Assistant - Five ( 5) - days $200.00 If one coach is to coach both girls and boys teams at different times of the day, this coach will receive sixteen (16) days coaching pay. Assistant Seven ( 7 ) days 2. - - $275.00 - $237.50 Track Coaches Coaching Pay We are aware that some high schools will use the same coach for both boys and girls track activities, due to the fact that both will be held at the same time. For this reason, the following three options are available to each high school: 1. If a separate boys coach and a separate girls coach is used, the boys coach would receive ten (10) days coaching pay, and girls coach would receive nine ( 9 ) days coaching pay. Para-profession- - Five (5) days - $200.00 If one coach is to coach both girls and boys teams at different times of the day, this coach will receive fifteen and one-ha(152) days coaching pay. Assistant -- Six and one-ha- lf (6fe) days 2. lf - $275.00 If one coach is to coach both girls and boys teams at the same time of the day, then this coach will receive thirteen (13) days coaching pay. Must have a minimum of 90 quarter hours of college credit, verified with transcripts. b. This school year. $31.52 for the Special Revenue Fund Types Debt Service Revenues Proprietary Fund Capital Projects Vocational Construction Fiduciary Funds Student Jepson Estate Activities 1980-8- 1 Regular substitutes who teach continuously in 30 school days or longer will be paid at the permanent substitute rate, which is 15 higher than the regular rate. This higher rate will be $36.24 for the school year. PERMANENT substitutes Substitutes may be approved as permanent substitutes by the District Personnel Office and will be paid at the higher rate of $36.24 if they meet the following criteria: a. Must have previously substituted at least twenty ( 20 ) days in Granite School District. b. Must fill out the special application form supplied by the District Personnel Office. This application must be approved by the Personnel Office. c. Must be available and willing to serve in any school in Granite School District and to substitute exclusively for the District. d. Must be available and willing to substitute on a regular basis. e. Must hold, or have held, a teaching certificate suitable for the position in which they are substituting and provide us with a copy of that certification. f. A substitute who holds a valid current certificate and who teaches for 45 consecutive days in the same position will be paid at a rate which is 30 higher than that of the regular substitute. This rate will be $40.94 for the 1980-8- school year. g. A substitute who holds a valid current certificate and who teaches for 90 consecutive days in the same position will be paid at the daily rate of Lane A, Step 1 of the teachers salary schedule. This rate will be school year. $62.98 for the 1980-8c. If one coach is to coach both girls and boys teams at the same time of the day, then this coach will receive fourteen (14) days coaching pay.
