Show 4U A Iverda Hudson Celebrates Eightieth Birthday This Fall Alverda (Verda) Turner Hudson of West Valley City will be celebrating her 80th birthday on September 21st. She was born in Giles, Wayne County, Utah the 21st of September, 1901 to Lorenzo and Lydia Turner. Stillman, Jr. of West Valley City and attended Cyprus high. Her husband is a graduate of Cyprus high and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fairboune of West Valley City. He is presently with the Air Force. Susan Pearce was maid of honor while other attendants included Debbie and Lynn Moberley, Tina, Cindy and Tami Stillman and Bec-c- a Simpson. Susan Stillman was flower girl and Lori Moncur attended the guest book. Duane Fairboune was the best man while Mark Werner, Tom Stevens, Steve, Mike, Dave, Mark .and Tim Stillman were ushers. Lori Moncur attended the guest book. Tina, Cindy and Juanita Still- man, Sandra Carlson, Alice Pickering, Tina Belka and Dixie Fairboune hosted parpre-nupti- ties. The newlyweds will honeymoon at the Homestead in Midway, Utah. The site of their home is undetermined. Alkire The Skaggs Memorial Chapel at the First Baptist Church was the scene of the August 27th double- - Mr. and Mrs. Brent G. Olsen Temple Rites Unite Goshgarian, Brent G. Olsen LDS Elisa Beth Goshgarian of Lancaster, California, and Brent G. Olsen of Magna were married Friday, Sept. 4, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, with Marvin L. Pugh of the temple presidency officiating. Following the ceremony the newlyweds were honored at a weda ding breakfast at the on Highland Drive. A reception was held that evening at the Chateau Reception Center in West Valley City. A second reception was held on Sept. 12 in Lancaster, California in the Lancaster second and third ward.. Bridal attendants were Monica McBride, and the brides twin sisters Dana and Debra Goshgarian. Attending the groom were Ray Monette, Favid Foote and Kelly Foote. The brides parents are Berge B. and Bethia B. Goshgarian of Lan Chuck-A-Ram- caster. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Glen A. Olsen of Magna. A graduate in 1980 of Antelope Valley high school in Lancaster, the new Mrs. Olsen was flag captain for the AVHS band show corps, active in the choral program, and in the house of representatives. She graduated from Lancaster Beauty School in June this year. The groom is a 1978 graduate of Cyprus high school, where he was a member of the National Honor Society and active in the sports program. After graduation he served a two year mission for the LDS Church in both the Ventura and San Bernardino Missions. Upon their return from a honeymoon in California, the couple will make their home in Provo, Utah where the groom is attending Brigham Young Universtiy. In August ring wedding ceremony for Janet R. Alkire and William D. Miller Jr. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the grooms parents at Chuck-A-Ram- a and a reception followed the ceremony at the First Baptist Church Parlor. The bride is a graduate of Granger high and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Alkire. She has attended Utah Technical College of Salt Lake. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William D. Miller and is a graduate of Cyprus high. He is currently attending the University of Utah where he is studying elect- rical engineering. The brides sister, Chris Sparks, was matron of honor while attendants included Vicki Miller, Kelli Robinson and Kimberly McMullin. Best man was Steve Lowell with Mike Oliver, Joe Sparks and Ryan McMullin as ushers. Danette English and Jana Klien attended the gift book while Larry Oliver and Toni Mameles were door attendants. Debbie and Billy Sparks were gift receivers. parties were hosted by Danette English, Kelli Robinson, Vicki and Mary Miller, Jana Klien and Becky Stowe. The newlyweds will make their home in Salt Lake after honeymooning in Palm Springs.
