Show The Clarence Hepworfhs Note Golden Anniversary Clarence and Eleanor Hepworth, e educators in Magna, will be guests of honor Saturday when their children host a Golden Wedding Anniversary party in their honor at the Magna Central Stake Center, 8181 West 3320 South, between the hours of 3 and 5 p.m. long-tim- Before her marriage Eleanor taught for two years in a school in Idaho which had eight students in five classes. When she came to Utah she worked as a substitute teacher in the Granite School District, and later became affiliated with the one-roo- m Mr. and Mrs. Craig Hammer The couple met at a summer school party at the Albion State Normal School, in Albion, Idaho, where both were working for their teaching certificates. They were married two years later on Sept. 16, 1931, in the Logan LDS Temple. Clarence taught three years in Idaho schools before entering the Utah State Agricultural College (now USU) to complete his bachelor of science degree. He accomplished this by June, 1933. He was independent branch president in the North Idaho Falls Stake, and ward clerk of Spencer ward for eleven years. He now fills an assignment each week in the Salt Lake Temple. For 17 years she was librarian in the Magna Library, with three of that number spent as head librarian, when the library was located in the Magna Community Council building, 3041 South 8560 West. With a total of 40 years of teaching behind him (14 in Idaho and 26 at Cyprus high) Clarence retired in 1970. Three years later Eleanor gave up her job, and together they have traveled to the eastern United States, Texas and Hawaii. Clarence Willis Hepworth Jr., is a resident of Orem; Dr. Loel Thomas Hepworth lives in Salt Lake; and Rona Lee (Mrs. Jay) Culley resides in West Valley City. Marcia Rogers Weds Hammer In St. George LDS Temple Temple was the site of and will University receive a degree in wedding ceremony for Craig Hammer and Marcia from the University of Utah this year. Hammer of and is a graduate of Murray high and Dixie College. He is attending the University of Utah and is a member of the Us basketball team.
