The words have become cliches we hear so often that we do not really 'listen' to them. But today, though I know the words are time-worand old fashioned I still use them, for no others can quite say what I mean. n The words are: "A child is born and mother and babe are doing well." See, you've heard them a million times. So a baby is born. So hear you say) everything is okay. So . . . what mother does have problems. It happens more often than we think. And children, sadly, are not all born into families who want them. No, the abortion rate . . . and the terrible legal battles over the 'right to have an abortion' . . . tells us that many a child is not wanted. Each year thousands of children are born to parents who have not looked forward to their arrival. Parents who have not spent the nine months preparing physically, mentally, emotionally and financially for the child. ... ... I else is new? Well, I'll tell you what else is new and why those old fashioned words are to me, marvelous, fresh and miraculous. The child who is born is the son and of his lovely wife, Carol. And, when say that mother and child are both doing well, say it with feeling and of my son So . . . that's why say those few words so happily, gently, thankfully and prayerfully. Temple Rites Unite Dave Ballard, Wendy Taylor LDS The Salt Lake LDS Temple was the site of the August 13th doublering wedding ceremony for Dave Ballard and Wendy Taylor. A wedding breakfast was held at the Lion House and a reception was given, following the ceremony, at The Old Meeting House. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Dale Taylor of Granger and is a graduate of Granger high. The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Davis V. Ballard of Granger, is also a graduate of Granger high, ha-h- and is attending Utah Technical College after attending Ricks College. He has filled an LDS mission to Paraguay. Maid of honor was Stacy Taylor while Kristy Perry, Kathy Thompson, Sherry Seals and Stephanie Bailey were attendants. Kamie and Holly Turner were flower girls and Wanda Snow attended the guest book.
