Barker, - boys and girls were born to Fifty-nin- 42 e Green Sheet area families during the week ending Sunday night, according to hospital reports. Two dozen of the infants arrived at St. Marks hospital, 17 at Cottonwood and four at Valley West. The remainder, with the exception of one child born at home, arrived at other Salt Lake area hospitals. Babies were born to Larry County Aging citizens from throughout the county, will be held Monday through Sept. 4. The contest will be conducted through the county agencys senior citizen centers proA gram. center-wid- e bake-of- f will be held Sept. 8 to select six winners, who will compete in apple pie baking competition at the State Fair on Sept. 16. The 16th is Senior Citizen Day at the State Fair. The senior citizen winner will' then participate in the Fairs final bake-of- f on Sept. 19. Entries in the final event will be judged by Gov. and Mrs Scott Matheson. Senior citizens interested in trying out their baking skills may obtain registration forms and rules of competition at area senior centers. Members of the administration and program staff of the County Aging Services will act as judges for bake-of- f preliminaries next week. Judging will be based on appearance, taste and texture, as outlined in State Fair Board rules.
