The high school students, age 16 and 17, will arrive to the United States in late August 1980, attend the local 2 school, and return home in late June 1981. The students,all fluent in English, have been screened by their school representatives in Scandinavia and have spending money and medical insurance. The National Park Service has made available for public review a study document tie includes lor lodging, transportation,trail system use and other activities at Bryce Canyon National Park in southemn tah. The document is an Environmental Review for the general management plan assessment of alternatives. Jock Andrews, head of a national ly recognized alcohol fuel organization headquartered in Provo, will speak at a meeting about alcohol fuel Thursday at the Orem Veterans Memorial Building, 225 W. 400 N., Orem. The public is invited to attend the meeting to begin at 7 p.m. Andrews will explain the current status of alcohol as a viable fuel, He is the leader of DAWN, Developing Answers to World Needs. People who attend are asked to make a $5 donation to the Orem Veteran's Council. Alpine School District Community School classes begin in the American Fork area the week of Jan. 21, according to DeLayna Crockett, director. Pre-registration is advised for the classes. This can be done by making checks payable to the American Fork Junior High School and sending them to the schoolin care of Miss Crockett. Advanced cake decorating, ceramics, crepe making, driver education, oil painting, sewing, shorthand, speed-writing, type, and woodworking are amongthe classes offered to adults this semester. Classes at the American Fork Junior High School include: Barbershop quartet, cake decorating for beginners, calligraphy, ceramics,guitar, girls and boys gymnastics, journalism, merit badges, micro-wave cooking, oriental cooking photography, racquetball, sign language, stage band, stain glass, taxidermy, toy lending library, weaptae for men and boys and ‘* Incredible Edible Egg.” Classes at the Barratt Elemenny Community School include: ballet, basic drawing, cake decorating, ceramics, disco, flannel board creativity, hand crafted ceramics, parenting, plumbing, basic icty andi i slimnastics, square dancing, tole painting and yoga. A new “Law in Your Life’ series will begin Tuesday, Jan. 29, at 7 .m. at Payson High School as a ja effort of the Utah Community jucation Foundation, the Utah State Bar and the Community Schools of Payson.
