MANY DISABLED clients as well as many senior citizens have been able to remain independent in their own homes because of the Home Health Aide programs availability. These services may include bathing, grooming, ambula- tion, vital signs, meal preparation, tube feeding, limited therapy if instructed and directed by the family physician or registered therapist, light household services such as changing bed linens, laundry, shopping, paying bills, errands and socialization of the client. functioning in Davis County through the Council on Aging since its inception one year ago. Home Health Aides receive their training through Weber RESPITE CARE for the family is an important feature of the Home Health Aide program. Respite care allows the family to be free to pursue interests of their own, feeling assured that the family member is being cared for by a trusted, capable professional. An individualized contract allows each family to participate in determining exactly what service will be provided to their family member, and to determine the number of hours they will need the service.
