Layton Births Dennis Graynor, who celebrates his 25th year with the Safeway Company today, has been named manager of the Safeway Super Store in Layton. The challenge of organizing people into a successful work force is appealing to Dennis Graynor. He takes pride in the staff that runs Laytons Safeway store. LAYTONS Safeway store e employs 60 full and people. There is little turn-ovin the Safeway employees. Mr. Graynor says this is because of the professional way the stores are run. An Ogden native, Mr. Graynor went to work for Safeways while he was attending Weber High School and Weber College. Other advancements in the Safeway organization quickly followed: assistant manager of the Fort Lane Shopping Center store in Layton in 1965; acting store manager of this outlet in 1968; store manager at the same location in 1969; manager of a new store in Ogden in Nov. 1972; a move to Boise, Ida. in Sept. 1976 to open a larger store; manager of a Salt Lake FINDING the right people for the right job is what determines the success of a manager, Mr. Graynor believes. Mr. Graynor says whenever a person is hired, he asks himself, Ogden. Thdy are parents of four children. MUCH OF Mr. Graynors time is spent with his family. They enjoy gardening, hunting and camping. This winter, Dennis and his son have taken on a project of restoring an anti- - que truck. As manager of the Layton Safeway store, Mr. Graynor is also active in the affairs of Layton. He belongs to the Chamber of Commerce and is supportive of many community projects. mm (opjos?
