Eleven KAYSVILLE from Duvjv County Mere honored tin week at a banquet where they were inducted into membership in the Ep'tlon Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma. DR, MARY Siromncvv of Bountiful, president of Epsi-Io- n Chapter, presided at cereeducator Mary Lou Broadbent Craven grew up in Clearfield and received her BA and MS degrees from Utah State University. She taught home eco- nomies at high schools in Indiana, Kentucky, and San Jose, Calif., before returning to teach at Clearfield High monies where inductees School. She has served as pledged themselves to further the purposes of Delta Kappa Gamma to advance the professional position of women in education. All were chosen for excellence in their teaching fields. Helen Hint Barber, a veteran teacher in Davis County, lege. She has taught in Panama City, Florida and Fremont Elementary. She currently teaches at Kaysville Elementary School, As a military wife, Roycine has traveled extensively. particularly in the Far East, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Okinawa, and she has lived in Alaska. She is the mother of three children. Loucnda Hess Downs gra- ANN SESSIONS Casper, holding a bachelor's and master's degree in homcmaking from Utah Slate University, has taught for six years at Vicwmont High School and is now teaching homcmaking at Central Davis Junior High. She is a native of Centerville. Jcannine Crabtree, a native of Texas and mother of four, has lived in many parts of the United States with her husband, an officer in the U.S. Air Force. After retirement, the couple settled in Davis County and Jcannine earned her degree from Weber State College. SHE RECEIVED her master's degree in special education from Utah State University and is currently working the at Utah State University where her major study is in- structional technological training and design. She is active in church woik and has traveled extensively in Europe. fa- culty representative to the Davis Education Association and is currently serving as the newsletter editor to the Utah Association of Vocational Home Economics Teachers. KOI CINE Dodd, a native of Alabama, graduated from Troy State University, Alabama. She received her MS degree from Weber Slate Col- graduated from Utah State university in elementary education. She has taught adult education at Layton High School, and is currently teaching second gide a E.G. King Elementary School in Layton. She is the mother of five children. Kaysville Elementary School class of fourth grade. She has conducted a seminar in special education for Davis District. She is presently working on master s degree in a split HAZEL Harvey Parrish, a native of Kaysville, graduated from Davis High School. She graduated from Weber Slate College with a BS degree in elementary education. She taught fourth grade at Burton Elementary School and now teaches third grade at Kaysville Elementary School. A talented artist, she has received many awards for her artistic achievements. Ann Marie Schlupp, a native of Rupert, Ida., graduated from Utah State University with a BS degree in business education. State College. She taught third and fourth grade at South Clearfield Elementary School and is currently teaching a grade combination at Farmington Elementary School. second-thir- d HEIDI Hill grew up in West Kaysville and attended Davis High School. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a major in special education. She has taught in the Syracuse Elementary and is currently teaching at the supervisory-administrativ- e endorsement. She has taught resource at Clinton Elementary and West she has completed USUi requirement for a resource certificate. Ann has taught English at South Davis Junior High, type and English as Central Junior High and is presently teaching typing and resource at Kaysville. Junior High School. She has three daughters, ages 8, II and 18. JOYCE Tucket! grew up in Mississippi, attended Brigham Young University for one year and graduated from Weber Stale College with a BS degree in elementary education and a certificate to teach children wiih learning disabilities and the severely handicapped. She received a master's degree from Utah State University in elementary education curriculum development. She has stale professional certificates in elementary cducaiion, re- source, and severely hand- icapped. Presently she is a resource teacher at Kaysville Elementary. She and her husband have six children. Mr. and Mrs. Allen L. Strong spent the weekend at Park City. Holiday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Swascy will be Mr. and Mrs. Bob Silvester and two children of Rexburg, Ida.; Reuben Wolfe, Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Herman E. Wolfe and four children, Layton; Mr. and Mrs. R. Wayne Swascy and son of Bountiful. Leo Woodward of Overton, Nev. visited with his mother Mrs. Dora Woodard. Mr. and Mrs. George Wright and son Kim and his wife Atsuyo returned from a month Kokura where Atsuyo's family live. Kim and Atsuyo went to adopt a baby w ho is six months old and they named him Andrew Yoitchi. It is their first child. Mrs. Lorraine Baroga and two sons Lance Lenhart and Mace Lenhart returned to their home in Seattle, Wash, after visiting in Utah for the past weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vemell Swangcrand also to attend Mrs. Baroga's funeral, Ernest Lenhart held Saturday in Logan. father-in-law- Mr. Todd Morgan, Fruit Heights; Mr, and Mrs. Larry Haugen. Farmington; and their families attended the mission report of ihetr parents Mr. and Mrs, Mark Morgan in laiyton on Sunday.
