Last summer she attended the International Sarah L. Voigt hat been honored at Woman Educator of thg Year. IvtO. The award was presented by Davit County chapter! of Delta Kappa 0 :v'! Sarah L. Voigt Convention held Ga. elect of the Association for Childhood Education International in Davis County. She has held several county offices as well as a state level position. In the community, she hat been involved with the Democratic Political Party. Helping to make the holiday season a bit brighter for Kaysville area residents are members of the Jaycces and JCKs, who filled boxes brim full of donated goodies. CLUBS HELP SANTA Santa Aid for the elderly and shut ins is the most gratifying and rewarding experience the Kaysville-Layto- n Jaycees and JCKs have experienced as an organization. THIS PROJECT was started in 1981 and proved very successful and the Jaycees decided to continue in 1982. They secured the names through referalls from Mary Titus of the Davis County Council on Aging as the senior citizens they visit and from Yvonne Spencer, Davis County Department of Human who gave them five names of Asian Refugee fami lies who needed assistance for Christmas. THE JAYCEES and JCKs met and prepared the fruit baskets for the elderly and boxes containing fruit, rice, chickens along with stockings filled with small gifts for the children of the refugees. The Jaycees and their many service projects, such as the July 4th chuckwa-go- n breakfast, the annual broom sale, etc., donations by local businesses and personal donations by Jaycee members are used for this tremendous project. ; The Kaysville Jaycees JCKs membership is open to all who are interested in belonging to ent in groups of two couples to distribute the gifts which were warmly received. , w the organization. Clawson, son of Toni Clawson and John Clawson received his Eagle Scout award while he was still 13 years old. HE IS an eighth grade student at Kaysville Junior High. He is active in his scout troop 44 1 and has been the troop historian. He is also active in church activities and has received his On My Honor award. AMONG his hobbies are fishing, hunting, swimming and skiing.
