Elder Wayne Hansen, son Mr. and Mrs. Darwin U. Hansen of 1624 Marilyn Drive, Syracuse, has returned home from the Portugal-LisboLDS mission field. Area Missionaries 'of TODD practices for at least one hour every day except n Sunday. He has made 56 in a row before and 96 out of 100 in practice. He doesnt quit practicing each day until he has made 25 in a row. If he should win the state championship, he will then compete in the regional finals in Las Vegas in March. The winner in Las Vegas will compete in the national finals in Indianapolis in April. Todd is currently the only fourth grader in the fifth grade basketball league in Kaysville. He is one of the top scorers in the league averaging 14 points per game. Last fall he was the quarterback on the 75 pound football team that went undel. feated and won the He was the shortstop on the north Davis little league baseball championship team. Matthews returned home Saturday from serving his LDS mission to the Japan Sandai Mission. Elder Scott Bauer has recently returned from the Philippines Manila Mission. Todd Heath, of Kaysville, has reached the state finals in the National Elks Club free throw shooting contest. Over four million boys and girls from every state have participated in this year's contest. shoots 25 free throws. The national champions have averaged about 90 percent accuracy in the past. Todd won the Davis County contest in December by making 21 out of 25. He then won the Northern Utah championship by making 21 out of 25 again. The state finals will be held Feb. 19 in Springville. It will match Todd with the winner of the southern half of the state.
